    Gorgeous painter. I have a few of his that are my favorite. Although Impressionism and Spanish art movements are my personal favorite. At least, that is the style I attempt to paint.

    I love Bouguereau. I have the The Virgin of the Lilies as my backgrund image on the desktop and it is lovely to see it when I start my PC.

    I know it’s not an icon because obviously Bouguereau is not an iconographer, but it’s the most powerful, evocative and beautiful painting I know of.

    Awesome choices. We have a painted reproduction on canvas of L’Innocence. I gave it to my wife for Christmas one year. I gave her his Byblis a few years later.
